The research of ECG(Electrocardiograph) automated detection and diagnosis has been a hot topic in the signal processing and pattern recognition fields and a basis of adopting ECG. In this paper, the history and current state of ECG signal automatic detection were reviewed and the key technologies as well as existing problems were discussed. Finally, a prospect is given on the future trends of the technology.
